Conversion Description
Here at Northern Conversions, we’re well known for our bespoke & jaw dropping conversions. All of our conversions are automatically “Quirky Approved” and come with a weigh bridge cert and LPG landlord certificate (if applicable) meaning if you fancied an extra income, give Quirky Campers a nudge and they’ll be happy to list it for hire. We also supply the user manual and you’re welcome to use our professional photos for your rental listing.
Here’s your chance to own a super high spec, bespoke conversion without having the usual lead time! Fenton has just been converted and is ready to drive away!
Fenton has been built to showcase our newest design which we’ll be offering as one of our signature builds. Because of this, he’s had a “no expense spared” conversion with the highest quality components with all the bells & whistles.
Fenton is completely off grid, designed to carry & sleep 3 people (although there’s bed space for 4) whilst looking awesome in the process. you simply won’t see anything like it on the road. Be a wolf, not a sheep.
The exterior of Fenton has been designed to look rugged and stand out from the crowd whilst not looking over the top. He’s had a FULL respray with raptor paint (if you haven’t heard of Raptor, its a really hard wearing paint with a textured finish).. and when I say FULL respray, I mean it (After the pop top, windows and hookups were cut out, all of the trims / handles / mirrors / bumpers / door wiring / check straps etc. were removed before being sprayed. That means all of the door shuts and any potential bare metal edges from exterior cuts have been painted properly… you wont find that level of detail in many other conversions). To finish off the exterior, we’ve fitted a gloss black elevating (pop top) roof then sprayed the bumper grill and fitted a gloss black rear door mounted spare wheel carrier to match. We then fitted a set of 5x Rogue alloys with all terrain tyres to give you a better chance of getting out of those muddy fields! As you can see from the photos he’s looking amazing.
At the rear of the camper there’s our signature extending bed which uses a 4″ foam mattress with soft Tencel covering, this gives a comfortable sleeping space for 2 adults. There’s a luxurious seating area for 3 people which consists of 2 benches, again using 4″ foam which has been professionally upholstered by the experts at Wagtail Campers. Within those benhces you’ll find the brand new Thetford porta potti (toilet) along with ample hidden storage.
Towards the front of the camper, you’ll see the large hand made kitchen unit which has been build using bespoke lightweight materials and coated in a Farrow & ball estate eggshell paint, within the kitchen units there’s a pull out waste & recycle bin, fresh & waste water containers, the 50L compressor fridge, Autoterm diesel heater and water pump. All of the cabinetry uses top quality Blum hinges and runners.
The solid oak worktop (22mm to reduce weight) houses the induction hob, plenty of workspace and a good sized sink.
Up top, you’ll see the gloss black pop top / elevating roof. This is simple to put up and gives you a huge amount of extra headroom! There’s a large clear window at the front of this with 2x opening mesh sides to give you plenty of light and airflow in the camper. There’s also a bi-folding, elevating bed which gives sleeping space for another 2 adults.
There’s 3 wall mounted bespoke lights made by UrbanLightCraft. They’re pure works of art, the attention to detail on each lamp is simply perfect. Each light can be switched and dimmed independently. Also a strip light across the rear of the camper (above the bed) and underneath the kitchen kickstands – all of thee give Fenton a beautiful ambiance.
Electrics wise, this camper has a very high end system which means you’ll be able to adventure off grid without having to worry. We’ve used a 230ah Roamer Lithium leisure battery to keep you powered up all year round (According to Roamer, you’ll get minutes of hair drying, or 237 full charges of an iphone!). This battery has a few methods of charging, all of which are hassle free and basically you can just forget about it and let the system manage itself! The battery is charged whilst driving via the Vicron Orion DC-DC charger (split charge system), 200W solar panel with Victron SmartSolar controller and also if you plugged in to a campsite or hookup, that’ll also charge up the battery via the Victron Multiplus. This Multiplus is also a 2000w inverter which allows you to use household 3 pin appliances (up to 2000w) inside the camper. Why all this power? because Fenton is GAS FREE utilising a Victron Multiplus inverter & induction hob. Monitoring the battery can be done via the Victron App, Roamer app or using the wall mounted Victron battery monitor.
