Seller's Description
This Ford Transit conversion van for sale has 264000 Miles, but runs real smoothly.
Regular oil changes every 5-6000 miles.
Custom camper van fully equipped for weekend getaways or full-time living.
I've been living in it for the past year and hate to see it go, just need the cash.
The van has 500W of solar power feeding a 200AH battery with 2000W inverter.
This powers a 60L Dometic fridge and freezer (12V very efficient), lights, sound system, charging electronics, toaster, blender and electric stove.
On a full charge, I can get 3 days of power when using the electric stove (uses a lot of power), and probably a week or more without using the stove; I recommend having a propane stove handy. Battery charges quickly under a day or two of sunshine, depending on clouds.
There's a pretty spacious bed, it's about 5ft by 6ft I think, give or take a few inches. The bed is pretty high up so there's tons of storage space in the trunk.
There's also tons of storage in the living space: drawers, shelves, cabinet-like spaces.
The only essential thing that's really missing from the build is a sink, but I've been using 5 gallon jugs with a water pump and it's worked great for me.
As for the van itself, it's been well maintained with regular oil changes every 5-6000 miles and never had any major issues, Only issues it currently has are:
-Windows don't roll down.
I got it diagnosed at firestone and they said it's a wiring issue which means it has to be taken to the dealer. I called the dealer and he said generally that would cost from $250-600. Since dealers are notoriously super expensive and scammers, I'll call this $1000 of work to fix.
-AC doesn't work. Could need a pump, could need a recharge. Can't cost more than $500, $1000 max.
So let's call it a probably overpriced $2000 of work to put into the van if you need to care for those things (even though it runs fine without it), probably closer to the $1000 though to be honest. I name these prices for transparency, and I'm willing to negotiate the price with these numbers in mind. And if you are a mechanic or wanna bring one with you who will have better knowledge of these things, by all means I'm open to it.
Either way, the van runs great; has crossed the country four times
