Seller's Description
Meet Cheriot: The legendary 2006 Dodge Sprinter. I’ve heard this van referred to as “the million mile van” from Internet forums and mechanics alike. One mechanic I met bought one at 500k miles. Cheriot is at 300k. I’ve loved having her for about two years now…I have simply decided that I want a truck camper that I can take on and off.
I bought it as a partial build from a gentleman in Tennessee who bought it from a bicycle wheel company that delivered their product around the country. It still had the company decals on it when I got it, and I recently sanded them off and put some primer over to prepare for a paint job. I figured to post the van as is before having it painted so its next owner can pick the color.
I’ve put a lot of time, love, and money into this van so please, only kind and serious inquiries only. New turbo, engine gasket, injector plugs, custom welded ball joints on the suspension, new all terrain tires (only have 5k miles on them) plus a few other updates- I have a binder with all that paperwork for serious inquiries.
Highlights:
-Cedar ceiling
-Two Max X Fans
-Solar, batteries, inverter (or shore power)
-TONS of storage (custom maple dresser/kitchen, closet, bench with storage drawer and secret compartment)
-windows with black out curtains
-Fridge / Freezer
-foot pump sink
-comfortable queen sized bed
Cons:
Side door handle needs fixing. Can be challenging to open from inside.
I’ve driven this van up and down the east coast, and cross country. It’s a champion on the highway, has gotten me up winding mountain roads (naturally, drive with care) and a sense of freedom like nothing I’ve experienced before. Seems to get 20-24 MPG. It’s powerful, I’ve towed a Motorcyle and can definitely pull more weight… it’s a great van that I’d love to see go to the right person or couple. I’m almost 5”11 and can stand in here.
This is the Sprinter experience without the 50-100k price tag.
